Sport in Indonesia is mostly male dominated. The most popular sports are football and badminton. Since badminton was introduced as a recognised Olympic sport in 1992 Indonesia has been very successful and collected dozens of medals.

Indonesian food is influenced by Chinese, European, Middle Eastern and Indian cooking styles. Rice is the main staple food in the country and is often served with side dishes of meat, fish and vegetables.
